Senior Back-End Web Developer - Financial Technology

About the Role

HFM is seeking a driven and strategic Senior Back-End Web Developer to join our team. This Senior Back-End Web Developer remote position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in the financial sector. You will play a crucial role in building and updating modules of our custom-made CMS, ensuring that our platforms remain at the forefront of innovation.

What You'll Do

• Build and update modules of the company’s custom-made CMS.
• Code and modify the company’s websites, ensuring optimal performance.
• Write well-designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices.
• Integrate data from various APIs and databases to enhance functionality.
• Check code quality of Junior Back-End Web Developers and assist them with their tasks.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, applying them to operations and activities.

Requirements

• BSc/BA in Computer Science or a relevant field.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role as a Senior Back-End Web Developer remote.
• Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: PHP, Python.
• Knowledge of the Python Django framework is a plus.
• Familiarity with web technologies such as JavaScript and frameworks/libraries like jQuery, Angular, or React.
• Basic knowledge of modern HTML/CSS.
• Native or near-native proficiency in English.
• Eligibility or legal authorization to work in Cyprus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
