About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Automation Engineer to join our team at Anchorage Digital. As a Senior Automation Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in enhancing our operational efficiency by building capabilities into existing back-office systems, reducing manual tasks, and consolidating disparate systems.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with Global Operations teams to identify critical pain points and translate operational needs into technical requirements.
• Design, develop, and deploy solutions that empower our organization, significantly impacting operational efficiency.
• Rapidly understand and navigate diverse existing codebases across various internal systems.
• Author robust, high-quality, and well-tested solutions that span multiple backend and frontend services.
• Participate in code reviews, fostering a culture of efficient testing and minimizing technical debt.
• Break down large, cross-functional internal projects into manageable tasks, accurately estimating multi-person efforts.
• Ship code and solutions that directly improve the daily efficiency and productivity of global operations teams.
• Mentor and guide other engineers, sharing expertise on navigating diverse internal codebases.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience building and enhancing complex internal software systems.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying cloud-native microservices.
• Passion for building automated tests alongside features.
• Real-world experience with complex distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with Python or Go is a plus.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and system security concepts.
• A genuine interest in code quality and infrastructure.
