Senior ARGO Developer - Remote Contract Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior ARGO Developer to join our team in a fully remote capacity. This contract position is an excellent opportunity for experienced developers looking to make a significant impact in the FinTech industry. As a Senior ARGO Developer, you will collaborate with our engineering team to design, develop, and maintain web and desktop-based applications, including the ARGO Teller 21 application. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing the user experience and ensuring the performance and availability of our systems.

What You'll Do

  • Own the development and implementation of components within the ARGO environment, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Independently develop clean, maintainable, and testable code while performing peer code reviews.
  • Participate in the overall health and performance monitoring of applications and actively resolve any issues that arise.
  • Package and support the deployment of releases, ensuring seamless integration into existing systems.
  • Embrace mentorship opportunities and provide training to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and project artifacts, ensuring clarity and accessibility for future reference.
  • Identify and propose improvements to reduce costs and enhance efficiency across development processes.
  • Assess the technical viability of new products and technologies, contributing to the innovation of our offerings.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on ARGO technologies.
  • Proven experience with the ARGO Teller platform and traditional client/server architecture.
  • Familiarity with web/API development, particularly in the ARGO ecosystem.
  • Experience in developing interfaces for the ARGO Teller platform, including CAD devices and check imaging software.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in SOAP and RESTful web services, along with shell scripting or Visual Basic.
  • Experience with JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Azure DevOps, XML, C#, and .NET is a plus.
  • Ability to troubleshoot software issues and possess strong problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Alogent Front Counter.
  • Background in the Banking or Financial Industry.
  • Familiarity with SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile.
