Senior Application Security Engineer - Remote Position

What You'll Do

• Perform application security assessments using both static and dynamic testing methods.
• Conduct secure code reviews to identify and remediate vulnerabilities early in the development lifecycle.
• Integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines to automate testing processes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to improve secure coding practices across the organization.
• Execute vulnerability scanning and penetration testing on deployed applications to ensure their security.
• Help investigate and respond to application security incidents effectively.
• Document findings and provide clear remediation guidance to development teams.
• Stay current on application security threats, tools, and best practices to enhance your skills.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in security engineering roles.
• Strong background in application security engineering.
• Hands-on experience with SAST and DAST tools.
• Practical knowledge of Docker and containerized deployments.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
• Prior experience using Fortify in production environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud security practices.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as NIST or ISO.
• Familiarity with threat modeling techniques.
