About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Application Developer - Healthcare IT Systems to join our team remotely. At Gainwell Technologies, you will leverage your skills to enhance healthcare IT systems, contributing to the well-being of vulnerable communities. What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and test applications in a Unix/Linux environment.
  • Support the full life cycle of development processes for creating services.
  • Investigate and resolve complex business and technical product integration issues.
  • Code, test, debug, implement, and document programs using Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL.
  • Focus on batch job automation and notification services, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Assist in modifying company products to meet client needs and gather information for system analysis.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities, including peer reviews and developing test plans.
  • Work independently and influence technical decisions at the enterprise level.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in application development and batch programming in C, Unix, Linux, and Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL).
  • Experience in Healthcare IT systems, particularly Claims and/or MMIS.
  • Expertise in batch job automation and notification services.
  • Strong skills in complex SQL development and query tuning.
  • Ability to work remotely and a willingness to travel occasionally (0-10%).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with healthcare compliance and regulations.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
