Senior Accountant - Hybrid Role in Energy Transition

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team at sonnen, located in Wildpoldsried, Germany. This role offers a hybrid work model, allowing you to work from home 2-3 days a week while requiring your presence on-site weekly. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in driving the energy transition by ensuring timely preparation, analysis, and quality assurance of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, analyze, and ensure the quality of monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB.
• Independently assess business transactions and accurately account for them in compliance with HGB.
• Process VAT returns, tax declarations, and statistics.
• Conduct intercompany reconciliations at both national and international levels.
• Work with large datasets, utilizing Excel (including PivotTables) for analysis and process optimization.
• Act as the right hand to the accounting management and actively contribute to the development of financial processes.

Requirements

• Commercial training with further education as a Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK) or a comparable qualification (e.g., a degree in Accounting or Financial Management).
• Strong knowledge of accounting according to HGB and a good understanding of accounting processes.
• Proficiency in Excel, with experience in working with PivotTables and large datasets.
• Solid knowledge of SAP FI/CO and good English language skills.
• A structured working style, teamwork, clear communication, punctuality, and high reliability.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the CleanTech sector.
• Knowledge of international accounting standards.
• Familiarity with financial software tools.
