Security Tools Engineer - SIEM/​LogA Remote Role

This role will focus on the management, maintenance, and configuration of SIEM and Log Aggregation tools, ensuring that our cybersecurity measures are robust and effective.

What You'll Do

• Manage and configure Security Incident Event Management (SIEM) tools such as Splunk Enterprise Security and Microfocus ArcSight ESM.
• Set up monitoring mechanisms to detect potential issues in real-time, including software configuration and service delivery.
• Continuously monitor all system components (SIEM, LogA, log sources) and take appropriate actions for resolving detected issues.
• Support project activities related to SIEM/LogA capability, acting as a subject matter expert (SME) and point of contact (POC).
• Provide technical support in troubleshooting infrastructure and operational issues, collaborating with other teams for successful resolution.
• Ensure that SIEM/LogA specialized applications are installed, configured, and running properly.
• Identify upgrade requirements and propose implementation plans for the Change Management Board.
• Proactively recommend optimizations to capabilities to enhance service operations.

Requirements

• Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk and Microfocus ArcSight.
• Knowledge of log aggregation tools and their configuration.
• Ability to create technical and executive-level reports as required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and industry standards.

Nice to Have

• Experience in a NATO or EU institution.
• Knowledge of additional cybersecurity tools and technologies.
• Certifications in cybersecurity or related fields.
