Security Engineer - Vulnerability Management & IAM (Remote)
About the Role
We are hiring a Security Engineer - Vulnerability Management & IAM (Remote) to join our dynamic team. This fully remote position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced security operations environment, focusing on execution and delivery rather than strategy. As a Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our security posture, reducing technical debt, and improving operational security processes across infrastructure and cloud environments.
What You'll Do
- Improve the quality, coverage, and reliability of vulnerability scans across cloud and on-prem environments.
- Analyze and validate vulnerabilities, reducing false positives and prioritizing genuine exploitable risks.
- Work closely with engineering teams to track and drive remediation activities.
- Provide day-to-day operational support across IAM/PAM (CyberArk or similar), including access requests and issue resolution.
- Manage identity lifecycle and address security backlog and technical debt, driving improvements in overall security hygiene.
- Support EDR and Microsoft 365 security monitoring, interpreting alerts and outputs effectively.
- Assist during security incidents, providing Vulnerability Management and IAM expertise where required.
- Create and maintain clear operational documentation and runbooks.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience in Vulnerability Management (Qualys, Rapid7, or similar).
- Strong operational experience with IAM/PAM tools (CyberArk preferred).
- Experience working with EDR solutions (e.g., Defender, CrowdStrike).
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 security tooling and monitoring.
- Experience working in a Security Operations/SecOps environment.
- Comfortable working with minimal process and high autonomy.
Nice to Have
- Experience in cloud environments (Azure preferred).
- Exposure to incident response processes.
- Experience improving or maturing security processes.
