Satellite Control Centre Software Validation Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Satellite Control Centre Software Validation Engineer remote to join our innovative team at GMV. Our AIV Satellite Control Centre team plays a crucial role in key European space programs such as Galileo (the European GPS), MTG, and EPS (meteorological satellites). You will be part of a team that has developed over 1,500,000 lines of code, providing you with a unique learning experience every day.

What You'll Do

• Gain an in-depth understanding of satellite communication through realistic simulators that replicate the conditions faced by satellite operators.
• Participate in the entire software validation process, from initial task definition to final product delivery and acceptance.
• Conduct requirements analysis and write test procedures to ensure software quality.
• Detect software anomalies and contribute to the development and configuration of tools for automated testing.
• Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Recent graduates with a background and interest in Linux operating systems.
• Familiarity with V&V-related tools such as DOORS, Jira, and Git.
• Proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python.
• Experience in planning, preparing, executing, and reporting test campaigns.
• Knowledge of Satellite Mission Control Systems like SCOS-2000 or EGS-CC.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience with Central Checkout Systems (CCS).
• Familiarity with test automation tools such as Robot Framework.
• Understanding of API query languages like REST or GraphQL.
