Sanitation Operator - 2nd Shift (Manufacturing)

About the Role

We’re hiring a Sanitation Operator for the 2nd shift at Wis-Pak in Hattiesburg, MS. As a key member of our team, you will ensure that our production environment is clean and safe, contributing to the quality of the beverages that our customers love. This Sanitation Operator role is essential for maintaining the high standards our customers expect, and you will receive the training you need to succeed in this position.

What You’ll Do

  • Sanitize production lines and equipment using approved chemicals and tools.
  • Disassemble and reassemble machine parts for deep cleaning.
  • Operate CIP systems and water systems to maintain cleanliness.
  • Keep work areas—including floors, walls, docks, and common spaces—clean and organized.
  • Monitor machines during startup to ensure proper fill heights, seaming, and product quality.
  • Remove defective products and keep the line supplied with lids.
  • Report equipment issues and complete required documentation.
  • Support production as needed, including operating machines or driving forklifts.
  • Follow all safety, GMP, HACCP, and Food Safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in manufacturing, food production, or high-speed packaging is preferred.
  • Comfortable using cleaning chemicals and learning CIP processes.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and follow established procedures.
  • Basic math skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Physical ability to stand/walk for 12 hours and lift/push/pull up to 60 lbs regularly (100 lbs occasionally).
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach overhead, and work at heights.
  • Willingness to work in warm environments (80°F+).
  • Ability to work overtime during busy periods.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with forklifts, floor scrubbers, Lockout/Tagout, or hand tools.
