Safety Specialist - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Safety Specialist - Remote to join our team at Uniper. This role is pivotal in advancing our safety culture and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. What You'll Do

• Develop and enhance the safety culture within the organization.
• Advise, motivate, and support management, employees, and partner companies through safety inspections at our power plant.
• Implement accident prevention measures and conduct risk assessments and incident analyses.
• Manage hazardous materials and provide training on safety protocols.
• Support health and occupational medical activities, as well as environmental protection initiatives.
• Assist in fire protection and explosion prevention efforts.
• Occasionally take on HSE tasks at other locations.

Requirements

• Professional experience as a technician, engineer, or safety specialist in a technical environment.
• Experience in occupational safety or willingness to undergo a two-year training program.
• Proficient in internal electronic systems (e.g., Maqsima, Synergi Life, SAM, Quentic, SAP).
• Willingness to travel for training and exchanges.
• Fluent in German and proficient in English.
• Strong motivation to enhance team performance and achieve high standards in workplace safety and environmental protection.
