  • Provide honest assessments of vendor offerings, articulating the strengths and weaknesses of different SDKs and documentation.
  • Design, develop, and maintain hardware abstraction layers (HALs) to minimize vendor lock-in and streamline future platform pivots.
  • Guide the migration of existing applications and drivers from one vendor's BSP to another, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Serve as the primary technical authority for evaluating and abstracting our software stack across various silicon platforms.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Embedded Systems Engineer with a focus on System-on-Chip (SoC) architecture.
  • Strong understanding of hardware-software integration and the nuances of silicon ecosystems.
  • Experience with vendor ecosystems, toolchains, and Board Support Packages (BSPs).
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and provide insights on vendor selection and strategy.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with multiple silicon vendors and their respective SDKs.
  • Familiarity with performance benchmarking and analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards in embedded systems.

What We Offer
