About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Payroll Manager to lead and manage our payroll team in delivering exceptional payroll services. As a vital part of our technology transformation and consulting firm, you will supervise a team of 5 while reporting to the Payroll/Billing Director. This fully remote position offers an exciting opportunity to shape payroll operations and enhance team performance.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the entire payroll process, ensuring accurate payroll payments and reporting through careful review, validation, and reconciliation of payroll data.
  • Coach and develop payroll team members, fostering their professional growth and continuous development.
  • Oversee payroll operations, ensuring compliance with US securities regulations and tax requirements, while adapting processes for foreign countries as needed.
  • Implement best practices to guarantee timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and service line leaders, acting as a subject matter expert for payroll-related business initiatives.
  • Audit payroll reports and collaborate with the accounting team to ensure financial accuracy, assisting with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reconciliations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by resolving employee and system issues related to payroll.
  • Participate in SOX compliance and audits, including third-party audits such as 401(k) and Workers Comp.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a Business-related field preferred; MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience with ADP Workforce Now payroll is required.
  • Experience managing high-volume payroll departments, including multi-state and multi-entity payrolls.
  • CPP or APA certification preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of US labor law, tax compliance, and federal/state regulations.
  • Leadership experience in business process improvement is desired.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote work environment and lead high-performance teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential.

  • Experience with non-US based payroll.
