About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Remote Mainframe COBOL Programmer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in COBOL programming to enhance our mainframe applications and support critical business operations. You will work remotely, collaborating with other IT professionals to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our systems.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain COBOL applications on mainframe systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement solutions.
• Perform system analysis and debugging to resolve issues efficiently.
• Utilize CICS, ADABAS, and VSAM for data management and application development.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in software development.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Mainframe COBOL Programmer in a remote setting.
• Proficient in COBOL, CICS, ADABAS, and VSAM.
• Strong understanding of IBM JCL and mainframe systems programming.
• Experience with SQL Server and Azure SQL Database.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with SAP FI and project management methodologies.
• Knowledge of public cloud technologies.
• Experience in data modeling and Master Data Management (MDM).
