Regional Head of Financial Operations - Airfreight & LCL (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a Regional Head of Financial Operations to join Maersk in a remote capacity. In this pivotal role, you will drive financial leadership across our Airfreight and LCL (Less-than-Container Load) business units, ensuring clarity, accountability, and informed decision-making that supports sustainable growth and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Oversee regional cost accrual and billing accuracy, ensuring operational and financial data integrity.
• Lead initiatives to minimize revenue leakage and optimize shipment margins.
• Collaborate with procurement and carrier management for accurate buy rate implementation.
• Standardize freight audit and reconciliation processes across countries.
• Serve as the key link between Finance, Airfreight Operations, and LCL Operations.
• Support digital transformation initiatives in financial automation and cost allocation tools.
• Establish and maintain financial governance frameworks, including cost control and margin analysis.
• Partner with regional leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in financial or commercial operations within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
• Deep understanding of Airfreight and LCL operational drivers.
• Mastery of margin management, costing, and revenue assurance.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational and financial data.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
