Quality Engineer - Remote Opportunity at Sandvik

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and initiative-driven Quality Engineer to join Sandvik's Surface Drilling division. This remote Quality Engineer role offers the opportunity to support and develop R&D organizational practices and quality improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with technical support, procurement, manufacturing organizations, and external suppliers to ensure product quality and reliability.

What You'll Do

• Design and ensure quality as part of new product and maintenance planning.
• Develop and implement proactive quality practices to ensure an error-free customer experience.
• Facilitate technical design and supplier reviews using AQP (Advanced Quality Planning) and QFD (Quality Function Deployment) processes.
• Address significant customer complaint cases and lead problem-solving initiatives.
• Work with cross-functional teams to enhance product reliability and eliminate waste.

Requirements

• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience in quality engineering.
• Analytical, creative, self-initiated, and practical working style.
• Experience with quality tools and developing organizational practices.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, with a customer-oriented attitude.
• Fluent in English; willingness to travel as needed.

Nice to Have

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Specialized knowledge in product development, manufacturing technologies, or measurement techniques.
• Experience in the mining or construction equipment industry.
