Quality Assurance Specialist - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Avantor is seeking a detail-oriented and quality-focused Quality Assurance Specialist remote to join our team. This temporary position offers an exciting opportunity to support and oversee quality and compliance activities within laboratory environments. You will provide expert guidance, build strong partnerships, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, highly regulated setting.

What You'll Do

• Offer expert advice on Quality and Compliance-related topics, ensuring requirements and standards are consistently maintained across Laboratory Services.
• Proactively manage Change Controls, Deviations, and CAPAs, including collation of data for KPI reporting and trend analysis across the Laboratory Services team.
• Support the implementation of the annual Quality Improvement Plan, working closely with Avantor management and customer governance leads.
• Drive preparation for internal and external inspections, including significant audits.
• Prepare clear and timely formal responses on behalf of both the customer and Avantor during audit inspections and queries.
• Represent Avantor by proactively identifying, driving, and implementing efficiency and process improvements.
• Collaborate with customers, supply partners, and Avantor Quality representatives to share best practices and learning.
• Support the ongoing maintenance of training and learning systems across internal Avantor platforms and customer systems.

Requirements

• 2–3 years’ experience working in a controlled or highly regulated environment.
• Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (QMS) software.
• Experience with Change Control, Deviations, and CAPAs.
• Experience with LEAN methodologies is preferred.
• A confident and influential communicator, able to ensure adherence to regulations, procedures, and protocols.

• Experience in the Life Sciences sector.
• Knowledge of laboratory compliance standards.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
