Project Manager - Building Experience (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Project Manager (Remote) to join Flynn, a leading construction company specializing in Critical Environments across Ireland, the UK, and Northern Europe. As a Project Manager, you will oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

What You'll Do

• Develop and update construction programs in collaboration with the Contracts Manager to meet key project milestones.
• Act as the technical lead, coaching and mentoring your project team to enhance their skills and performance.
• Determine necessary staff resources and communicate effectively with your team to ensure project success.
• Implement Flynn’s Safety System and foster a strong safety culture throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project quality to ensure that build quality meets client expectations.
• Control project costs and manage preliminaries/packages effectively.
• Collaborate with the commercial team to achieve agreed commercial objectives for your project.
• Maintain positive relationships with clients, keeping them informed of any claims or delays.

Requirements

• A third-level qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience managing complex construction projects, including General Contracting (New Build) and Fit-Out projects.
• Experience in Design and Building Experience.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver complex projects effectively.
• Strong technical skills with excellent numeracy and report writing capabilities.
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders.
• Understanding of commercial realities and ability to propose cost-effective solutions.
• Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, or similar scheduling software.

Nice to Have

• Experience with project management software tools.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Previous experience in a remote working environment.
