Product Support Engineer - Remote Role in Financial Crime Tech

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Product Support Engineer to join our team at Ripjar, specializing in software solutions that combat financial crime. This remote Product Support Engineer role is crucial for ensuring our clients receive top-notch support and assistance with our Screening software. You will work closely with customers in the APAC region, providing essential support during the hours of midnight to 8 AM GMT.

What You'll Do

  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support to customer and partner organizations, assisting in issue reproduction and raising internal bug tickets.
  • Develop expertise in the use of Screening software across various customer configurations, staying updated on critical issues.
  • Collaborate with deep support engineers to provide technical advice, ensuring efficient ticket resolution.
  • Work with internal product, development, and QA teams to suggest process improvements that enhance deliverable quality.
  • Create internal reports to help the company understand the scale and challenges of supporting our products globally.

Requirements

  • Ability to work midnight to 8 AM GMT from Sunday to Thursday.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills gained from working with Unix SaaS or on-premise software.
  • Experience with Python, NodeJS, TypeScript, Bash, or other scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with the Linux Operating System and tools like MongoDB, Kafka, Elasticsearch, or OpenSearch.
  • Proven experience in customer problem-solving through written communication and virtual meetings.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with online support portals, ideally Zendesk, and tracking systems like Jira.
  • Familiarity with deployment and configuration management tools such as Ansible and Jenkins/Rundeck.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, context-switching environment.
