About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Software Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team at Northrop Grumman. This remote opportunity allows you to work on revolutionary systems that impact lives globally. As a Principal Software Integration Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing software solutions that bridge hardware functionality with software services.

What You'll Do

• Develop and integrate software solutions for embedded systems, utilizing Python and C++.
• Design and implement drivers/APIs that expose hardware functionality to Python.
• Utilize communication protocols such as Modbus and MQTT to connect software services and devices.
• Conduct unit/component testing using tools like pytest and unittest.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions for embedded systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience, or equivalent experience.
• Active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• Proficiency in Python and C++ programming languages.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and cross-functional Scrum teams.
• Strong analytical debugging skills and clear communication abilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence.
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering languages (SysML/UML).
• Ability to evaluate risks and present solutions to management.
