Principal RF Mechanical Engineer - Remote Opportunities
About the Role
We are seeking a talented Principal RF Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while contributing to innovative design solutions in the defense sector. As a Principal RF Mechanical Engineer, you will lead multidiscipline teams and provide technical oversight in the development of antennas, RF Circuit Card Assemblies, radomes, and RF test equipment.
What You'll Do
- Lead mechanical design activities involving RF hardware, ensuring high-quality work that meets cost, schedule, and performance expectations.
- Guide and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative environment that capitalizes on team strengths.
- Conduct trade studies to determine optimal solutions for complex engineering challenges.
- Regularly communicate task status on complex issues, influencing strategic plans across multiple teams.
- Serve as a technical resource and provide innovative design solutions that enhance our product offerings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in design, analysis, and leadership of mechanical products, particularly RF mechanical products.
- Proficiency in 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) for Technical Data Packages (TDPs).
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Nice to Have
- Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with RF-specific products such as antennas and circuit card assemblies.
- Familiarity with Creo Simulate or ANSYS Workbench for structural and thermal analysis.
- Experience in supplier management for RF products.
