We are seeking a Principal Cyber Software Test Engineer to join our innovative team at Northrop Grumman. What You'll Do

• Collaborate with an agile software development test team in a fast-paced environment, learning new tools and processes.
• Test new software applications across diverse platforms such as Windows, Linux, and Android, ensuring seamless integration with wireless services and custom hardware systems.
• Validate software requirements through various testing methods including functional, usability, performance, security, and regression tests.
• Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures for software systems.
• Participate in cross-functional team meetings, contributing to technical discussions and defining new product functionalities.
• Review user stories and backlog items, analyzing the testability of requirements and providing actionable feedback.
• Identify issues promptly and communicate their impact to software developers and project managers to facilitate resolutions.
• Demonstrate software capabilities at the completion of sprints to key stakeholders, ensuring solutions meet customer requirements.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance or higher is required.
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, a Master's degree with 3 years, or a PhD with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Proven experience with diverse software and hardware testing methods throughout the development lifecycle.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple project tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in computer hardware and software systems.
• Ability to translate requirements and user stories into functional test plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for articulating test plans and facilitating product demonstrations.
• Experience in troubleshooting and isolating issues with a focus on providing solutions.

Nice to Have

• Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.
• Experience writing custom automation scripts using languages like Python or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies and agile management software such as Microsoft Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of computer security measures and UNIX command lines.
