About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Cyber Security Analyst - Digital Forensics to join our team remotely. In this role, you will lead complex forensic investigations and provide strategic insights to enhance our cybersecurity posture. This position is crucial for safeguarding our organization against cyber threats and ensuring effective incident response.

What You'll Do

  • Lead enterprise-level forensic investigations involving malware, insider threats, and data exfiltration.
  • Act as the technical commander during priority incidents, directing containment and eradication efforts.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for major cyber events and drive corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain forensic methodologies and evidence-handling standards.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Legal, Privacy, and external law enforcement during sensitive investigations.
  • Correlate forensic artifacts with threat intelligence to identify adversaries and tactics.
  • Establish forensic readiness strategies, including tooling optimization and logging enhancements.
  • Develop lightweight tools and scripts using Python or PowerShell for artifact analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in Incident Response and Digital Forensics.
  • Mastery of Windows and Linux internals, authentication flows, and persistence mechanisms.
  • Proficient in Python or PowerShell for automation and artifact analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to brief executives under pressure.

Nice to Have

  • Industry certifications such as GCFA, GCFE, GREM, or CISSP.
  • Experience with Zero Trust controls and SaaS forensics.
  • Familiarity with threat modeling and purple team practices.
