Platform/​Release Engineering Team Lead - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a Platform/Release Engineering Team Lead to join our innovative team at BrainRocket. This is a unique opportunity to lead our internal CI infrastructure team and drive the transition to a GitOps model. As a Platform/Release Engineering Team Lead remote, you will play a crucial role in shaping our software development lifecycle (SDLC) and ensuring the efficiency of our deployment processes.

What You'll Do

• Provide technical leadership and define the strategic direction for the company-wide CI/CD infrastructure.
• Drive the migration of service deployments to ArgoCD and Argo Rollouts, implementing advanced deployment strategies like Canary and Blue-Green.
• Develop internal services and Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to optimize team workflows, focusing on environment management, Quality Gates, and release automation.
• Integrate static analysis tools (SAST/DAST) and automate code quality checks within our pipelines to enhance security and quality.
• Accelerate the build and distribution pipelines for mobile and web applications, ensuring overall infrastructure stability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Infrastructure, SRE, or Release Engineering with proven team leadership experience.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Hands-on experience with ArgoCD and Argo Rollouts.
• Practical experience with CI tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins.
• Strong programming skills in Python (or TypeScript/JavaScript) for building internal tooling and automation.
• Solid experience with Grafana and OpenTelemetry for observability.
• Understanding of microservices architecture, message brokers (RabbitMQ/Kafka/NATS), and network protocols (gRPC, GraphQL, WebSockets).
• Familiarity with mobile (iOS/Android) and web application development.

Nice To Have

• Experience integrating AI tools into development and testing processes.
• Familiarity with Service Catalogs (Backstage, Port.io, or similar).
• Proven track record of driving technological changes at a company-wide level.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and HashiCorp Vault.
