Platform Engineering Manager/​Director - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

IntaPeople is seeking a skilled Platform Engineering Manager/Director to lead our client's core production team in the United Kingdom. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to shape how platforms scale and ensure resilience while embedding long-term DevOps principles across the business.

What You'll Do

• Lead the platform engineering team, collaborating closely with the Chief Technology Officer.
• Oversee the management of large systems within the industry, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Implement and maintain DevOps practices using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage on-premise operations with a focus on Proxmox Servers and hybrid cloud integrations.
• Drive the development of AI-assisted tooling and support the upcoming data center build.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior/Principal/Lead Platform/Infrastructure Engineer.
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing fast-moving projects and teams.
• Strong server experience with tools like Proxmox and vSphere hypervisor clusters.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and Digital Ocean.
• Proficient in Linux operating systems and MySQL databases.

Nice to Have

• Experience with HP MSA SAN storage and Unifi networking.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana and Sentry.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery and backup strategies.
