Platform Engineer (AWS) - Remote HealthTech Start-up

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Platform Engineer (AWS) remote to join our innovative HealthTech start-up. This fully remote position offers a competitive base salary of up to £85,000, plus early equity and benefits. As a Platform Engineer, you will work with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced environment, contributing to impactful projects in the drug discovery sector.

What You'll Do

• Partner with core engineering teams to revolutionize Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and GitOps ecosystems.
• Automate deployment processes to ensure seamless and rapid platform installations.
• Collaborate with external infrastructure teams to solve complex deployment challenges.
• Utilize your expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform to maintain and evolve secure containerized systems.
• Translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for stakeholders and client teams.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in platform engineering or related fields.
• Strong expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.
• Proficient in coding with Golang and/or Python.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to take ownership of problems and propose effective solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience with federated learning and homomorphic encryption.
• Background in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
