Platform /​ Cloud Engineer (Rust) - B2B SaaS

About the Role

We're hiring a Platform / Cloud Engineer (Rust) to join our innovative B2B SaaS team. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to shape the cloud and platform foundations of a product before its launch. You'll work with a small, senior engineering team to build a live, connected model for product-based businesses, replacing traditional spreadsheets with a robust calculation engine.

What You'll Do

• Design and build Kubernetes infrastructure on AWS from early-stage architecture.
• Own infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate closely with a Rust-heavy backend team, integrating with the codebase.
• Establish observability practices across the platform, including metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.
• Contribute to decisions regarding self-hosting LLMs as AI becomes part of the product.
• Document systems and proactively share knowledge with the team.

Requirements

• Deep working experience with AWS.
• Production experience with Kubernetes (EKS or self-managed).
• Experience with Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry or similar).
• Working knowledge of Rust to read and understand the codebase.

Nice to Have

• Experience in early-stage startups.
• Ownership of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD or similar).
• Exposure to LLM infrastructure or AI/ML platform work.
