About the Role

We're hiring a Payroll Risk & Compliance Expert to join our team remotely. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with local payroll regulations and legislation across the Middle East. As a Payroll Risk & Compliance Expert, you will leverage your expertise to navigate complex compliance landscapes, ensuring that Remote meets and anticipates regulatory standards.

What You'll Do

  • Own compliance for your country or region, ensuring local requirements are accurately interpreted and implemented.
  • Translate statutory rules and payroll logic into structured requirements for Product and Engineering teams.
  • Lead complex audits and compliance programs, establishing frameworks that scale across jurisdictions.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for compliance issues, partnering cross-functionally to resolve incidents swiftly.
  • Create clear, scalable, and documented processes for payroll compliance operations.
  • Build training materials and documentation to upskill internal teams on compliance rules and workflows.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Legal, Support, and Customer Success to embed compliance into decision-making.
  • Achieve stakeholder satisfaction by being responsive and solutions-oriented.

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in payroll and employment compliance for your region.
  • Proven record leading audits and compliance programs.
  • Experience partnering with technical teams to convert statutory rules into product requirements.
  • Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders across various departments.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-changing, fully remote environment.
  • Experience mentoring and coaching teams to enhance compliance capabilities.
