Payroll Accountant - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Accountant to join our team remotely. As a Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for managing payroll processing for our clients, ensuring compliance with tax and social security regulations. What You'll Do

• Independently prepare monthly payroll for clients and manage reporting and certification processes.
• Provide expert advice to clients and team members on payroll-related inquiries, including tax and social security law.
• Continuously maintain and update employee data and communicate with external authorities like tax offices and social security agencies.
• Analyze complex payroll issues and conduct quality control within payroll software.
• Handle year-end payroll tasks and assist with audits conducted by the German Pension Insurance.
• Take on projects such as onboarding new clients and optimizing processes to enhance company operations.

Requirements

• Completed commercial training or equivalent qualification.
• Extensive experience in payroll processing with strong knowledge of tax and social security laws.
• Proficient in payroll software and a strong willingness to expand your expertise.
• Excellent analytical skills, independent work ethic, and high service orientation.
• A passion for modern technology and a desire to improve processes through innovative digital solutions.
• Fluent in German (C1) both spoken and written.
