Part-Time SOC Analyst - Remote Weekend Position

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Part-Time SOC Analyst to join our team remotely. This role is perfect for individuals seeking a flexible work schedule while contributing to cybersecurity efforts. As a Part-Time SOC Analyst, you will work weekends from 3 PM to 12 AM Eastern Time, ensuring that our systems remain secure and protected from potential threats.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and triage security alerts generated by SIEM and other detection applications.
• Identify active attacks and take appropriate steps to mitigate them.
• Utilize tools such as Splunk, Crowdstrike, and Palo Alto Next Gen Firewalls to enhance security measures.
• Stay updated on the latest tactics used by attackers and adjust monitoring strategies accordingly.
• Complete ongoing training and certifications to maintain and enhance technical capabilities.

Requirements

• Typically, a 2-year academic degree in Information Security or a related field.
• Familiarity with security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, Anti-Virus, IDS/IPS, and NGFW solutions.
• CompTIA Network+ and Security+ certifications are preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment.
• Strong understanding of information technology tools and best practices.
