About the Role

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Part-Time Maintenance Operative to join our team at The Coaching Inn Group. As a Maintenance Operative remote, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our facilities are maintained to the highest standards, providing a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

What You'll Do

• Report directly to the Head of Property while collaborating closely with the hotel team.
• Conduct weekly facility checks and maintain accurate records.
• Proactively identify and resolve property issues to prevent disruptions.
• Ensure that the hotel consistently meets high presentation standards.
• Handle reactive maintenance tasks efficiently on a daily basis.
• Plan and execute improvement works utilizing your trade skills.
• Coordinate with third-party contractors for on-site supervision and approval of works.
• Assist colleagues during property emergencies, even when off duty.
• Log and track repairs and quotes using our facilities management system.

Requirements

• Experience in maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with team members and contractors.
• Flexibility to respond to emergencies and changing priorities.

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in hospitality maintenance.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems.
