About the Role

We are seeking an experienced ODU Training Manager - Counter Terrorism Policing to join our dedicated team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the operational performance of the Counter Terrorism Network across the UK. As an ODU Training Manager, you will oversee the planning, design, and quality assurance of national training programs. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to national security efforts while working remotely.

What You'll Do

  • Plan, design, and quality assure Mission 2 related training for the Counter Terrorism Network.
  • Conduct national training needs analysis and provide innovative training solutions.
  • Develop and maintain continuous professional development (CPD) for relevant training cadres.
  • Facilitate learning opportunities in accordance with the CTP Learning, Training & Exercising (LTE) Strategy.
  • Manage relationships with partner agencies regarding training matters.
  • Lead and coordinate national projects and change programs to enhance training delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and welfare standards during training courses.
  • Promote equality, diversity, and human rights in all working practices.

Requirements

  • Hold a training qualification, Certificate in Education and Training (minimum Level 4).
  • Experience managing a learning and development service within a complex organization.
  • Sound knowledge of Counter Terrorism Policing and its operational requirements.
  • Proven experience in managing training cycles from commissioning to evaluation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Ability to develop blended and virtual learning interventions.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel nationally.
  • Must undergo Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.

Nice to Have

  • Project management qualification (Prince 2/Agile).
  • Experience in policy formulation and development.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
