About the Role

Dominion Energy is seeking a dedicated Nuclear Instrument Technician to join our team in a remote capacity. This position offers the opportunity to work for a purpose-driven company that values safety and collaboration. As a Nuclear Instrument Technician remote, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and calibrating safety-related equipment in both shop and field environments.

What You'll Do

  • Perform maintenance and calibration activities under the direction of a Supervisor or Senior Technician.
  • Work in both normal and radiological areas of the plant, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assist with scheduled work activities such as preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and calibrations.
  • Utilize advanced test equipment to troubleshoot and correct anomalous operations of indicators, controllers, and instrument loops.
  • Complete documentation associated with assigned job tasks accurately and in compliance with approved procedures.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of Work Management processes and safety regulations.
  • Coach others in industry-accepted human performance practices to promote error-free performance.
  • Complete initial training requirements and on-the-job training as part of the Nuclear Instrument Technician Training Program.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of related experience for Nuclear Instrument Tech I; commercial nuclear power experience preferred.
  • 6 years of experience for Nuclear Instrument Tech II, with a preference for Navy Nuclear Propulsion training.
  • Successful completion of the Nuclear Instrument Technician Development Program for Nuclear Instrument Tech III.
  • Ability to troubleshoot analog and digital instrumentation and control circuits.
  • Physical ability to carry a minimum of 50 pounds of tooling and test equipment.
  • Willingness to work in confined quarters and radiological areas of the plant.
  • Education: Associate's degree in Instrumentation Technology or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with microprocessor, electronic, and pneumatic instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with electrical and mechanical measurements.
  • Military electronic experience in any Armed Forces.
