Mobile Application Developer - Hybrid Role

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mobile Application Developer to join our team in a hybrid role. As a Mobile Application Developer remote, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting mobile applications that provide users with access to County services across multiple mobile platforms. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a dynamic environment.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
  • Install and configure a Proof of Concept (POC) TAK Server within the County server network.
  • Integrate the TAK Server with TAKAware (iOS) and ATAK (Android) applications to enable group-based user location visibility.
  • Support real-time integration of CAD data, including live incidents, unit statuses, and locations.
  • Ensure all mobile and server connections are secure, reliable, and compliant with CJIS standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders using Agile development methodologies.
  • Troubleshoot issues, optimize application performance, and support ongoing enhancements.
  • Assist with securing the application using OKTA authentication.

Requirements

  • Experience with mobile development for iOS (Swift, Objective-C) and Android (Kotlin, Java).
  • Familiarity with cross-platform frameworks such as React Native, Flutter, or Xamarin.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and JSON.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and UI/UX design principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with deployment processes for App Store and Google Play.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and testing tools like Firebase, Crashlytics, Appium, and Espresso.
  • Previous experience in a government or public sector environment.
