Mid-Senior Software Engineer - Remote Opportunities in APAC

About the Role

We are excited to announce a position for a Software Engineer (Remote) at MetBrains. As a rapidly expanding technology organization in the APAC region, we are looking for talented individuals who are passionate about building scalable software solutions. In this Software Engineer remote role, you will have the opportunity to work on impactful projects that drive real-world change.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software.
• Participate in system architecture and technical design discussions.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.
• Implement secure and reliable backend and/or frontend solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay updated with modern software development trends and tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C++).
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience with REST APIs, databases, and application development.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
• Experience with frontend or backend frameworks.
• Exposure to DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, or containerization.
• Prior experience working with distributed or international teams.
