About the Role

We are seeking a Critical Environment Engineer to join our dynamic team at QTS Data Centers. This remote Critical Environment Engineer position involves assisting in the coordination, installation, and integration of critical electrical and mechanical systems within our data center operations. You will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and compliance of our facilities, contributing to our mission of achieving 100% uptime.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical support for all aspects of data center operations, including maintenance and repair of mission-critical equipment.
  • Assist in site construction activities and installations, ensuring adherence to operational standards.
  • Witness testing of equipment during commissioning and validate operational documentation.
  • Coordinate site technical solutions for customer installations and power circuit deployments.
  • Support the implementation of local standard operating procedures and compliance initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with health & safety standards and electrical codes.
  • Interface with vendors and internal teams to ensure operational excellence.
  • Participate in technical reviews for maintenance events to ensure reliability of critical systems.

Requirements

  • Three or more years of experience in engineering activities within a technical environment such as data centers or hospitals.
  • Bachelor’s degree (HBO) or equivalent professional experience.
  • HVAC or critical power certifications are a plus.
  • Ability to travel to other data center locations as required (10-25% travel).
  • Fluency in both Dutch and English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with large-scale data centers or similar environments.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
