Mid-Senior Platform Engineer (DevOps) - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a high-impact Platform Engineer (DevOps) remote to join our team on a contract basis. This role is pivotal as we transition from manual interventions to a true "Infrastructure as Code" philosophy. Your mission is to build an automated, scalable, and resilient internal developer platform that empowers our engineering teams to deploy with confidence and speed.

What You'll Do

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to ensure our cloud environment is versioned, repeatable, and immutable.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes environments, focusing on cluster health, scaling, and container security.
• Design and refine automated CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Codefresh to minimize the time to production.
• Build self-service tooling and scripts (Bash/Python) that empower developers to manage their own provisioning through safe, pre-defined guardrails.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment where automation is the default, not the exception.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering roles within high-availability environments.
• Hands-on experience with a major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Deep expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
• Fluency in Bash is required; experience with Python or Node.js is a significant advantage.
• A strong understanding of distributed systems, load balancing, and performance tuning.

• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
• Knowledge of security best practices in containerized environments.
