Mid-Senior IT Support Technician - VoIP Specialist

About the Role

We are hiring a Mid-Senior IT Support Technician with a focus on VoIP support to join our dynamic team. This fully remote position allows you to work from El Salvador while providing essential IT support to a U.S.-based organization. As an IT Support Technician, you will leverage your hands-on experience with VoIP systems to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively. This role is not for beginners; we are looking for someone with a solid understanding of structured IT environments and business phone systems in production.

What You'll Do

• Provide Level 1–1.5 IT & VoIP support, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Own tickets from start to finish, maintaining clear and effective communication with users.
• Support Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and various peripherals.
• Troubleshoot VoIP and call quality issues, escalating to internal L2 support when necessary.
• Maintain clean and organized documentation of all support activities.

Requirements

• 3+ years of IT support experience, with a strong focus on VoIP support.
• Hands-on experience with VoIP platforms, including Hosted PBX or SIP systems.
• Strong English proficiency (~85%+) to communicate effectively with clients.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Reliable work-from-home setup to ensure productivity.

Nice to Have

• Experience with softphones or desk phones.
• Familiarity with Action1 or similar RMM tools.
• Knowledge of Huntress or similar EDR solutions.
• Experience with Veeam backup solutions.
• Understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, DHCP, and DNS.
