Mid-Senior Firewall Engineer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are looking for a talented Firewall Engineer remote to join our team at Infinite Computer Solutions. This role is fully remote and is ideal for candidates based in the United States. As a Firewall Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the security and integrity of our network systems.

What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and manage firewall solutions to protect sensitive information.
• Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and respond to security incidents.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities.
• Provide technical support for firewall-related issues and assist in troubleshooting.

Requirements

• 2-5+ years of relevant technical experience in firewall management.
• Strong knowledge of Palo Alto and Checkpoint environments.
• Experience with network security protocols such as IPSec, SSL, and VPNs.
• Familiarity with security compliance standards, including PCI DSS.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice to Have

• CISSP certification or similar security credentials.
• Experience with Splunk and Tufin.
• Understanding of network routing and switching architecture.
