Mid-Senior Data Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Data Engineer remote to join our growing team at Vertex Solutions Inc. This position is vital for our client's expansion in the insurance brokerage sector, and it offers the opportunity to work on innovative data solutions. You will be part of a dynamic Technology Data & Analytics Team, where your contributions will directly impact our data processing and analytics capabilities.

What You'll Do

• Perform data analysis to understand business requirements and design solutions to meet needs.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support data integration and analysis.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure data quality and integrity by performing data cleansing, validation, and standardization.
• Assist with maintaining database architecture and data processing systems.
• Monitor and optimize data pipeline performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in data engineering.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role.
• Strong SQL background and ability to write efficient queries.
• Experience with general insuretech and agency management solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with Git, dbt, and Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Ability to work remotely, independently, and in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python is a plus.
