Mid-Level Test Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

Join our team as a Mid-Level Test Engineer and contribute to enhancing national security through innovative technology. This remote position allows you to work from anywhere in the United States while being part of a high-impact team at Leidos. As a Mid-Level Test Engineer, you will play a crucial role in testing and deploying a large-scale Satellite Communications (SATCOM) system, ensuring the resilience and cybersecurity of mission-critical communications.

What You'll Do

• Perform manual component, integration, system, and end-to-end testing of software applications.
• Develop, write, and execute system-level and integration-level test procedures and test reports.
• Evaluate software changes and verify defect corrective actions identified during development, testing, and operational use.
• Utilize basic system administration skills and work with physical equipment in a test lab environment.
• Collaborate closely with Manual Test, Automation, and framework/infrastructure teams to support regression and system testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field and at least 8 years of related experience.
• Experience testing through a full system development life cycle, including implementing test plans, test cases, and test processes.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey information to both management and technical personnel.
• Experience working with physical equipment in a test lab environment.
• Must have TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and key management programs.
• Familiarity with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Experience using automated test tools and programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, shell, Python).
