Mid-Level Electrical Engineer - Next-Gen Roadside Systems
About the Role
We are seeking a Mid-Level Electrical Engineer to join our team in Denver, CO. This Electrical Engineer remote position offers the opportunity to work on next-generation roadside hardware systems that are critical to national infrastructure. As a part of a venture-backed deep-tech company, you will be involved in designing and deploying systems that operate in rugged outdoor environments where reliability is paramount.
What You'll Do
- Design schematics, PCBs, and cabling systems for innovative hardware solutions.
- Optimize power systems, including solar and battery solutions, ensuring robust cellular connectivity.
- Iterate mechanical enclosures and assemblies using CAD tools.
- Write edge-level software in Python and C++ to interface with various sensors and devices.
- Enhance system robustness to achieve over 99.9% uptime in challenging environments.
- Support field deployment, testing, and calibration of hardware systems as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in building real-world hardware, whether through industry experience or significant personal projects.
- Strong fundamentals in circuit design and PCB development.
- Proficiency in coding with Python and/or C++.
- Experience with embedded systems, IoT, or edge devices is preferred.
- Familiarity with tools such as Altium, Onshape, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- A hands-on, ownership-driven mindset, comfortable in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

- Familiarity with regulatory standards for hardware deployment.
