About the Role

We are seeking a Mid-Level Cyber Systems Engineer to join our team remotely. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical national security projects while collaborating with a talented team of engineers and researchers. As a Mid-Level Cyber Systems Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the security and functionality of cyber systems that support government operations.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a technical program coordinator supporting customer security accreditation activities.
  • Act as a liaison between government agencies and prime contractors during key meetings and documentation processes.
  • Review engineering designs and security deficiencies, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
  • Draft processes for COMSEC and crypto key management for pilots and flight personnel.
  • Contribute to the development of test plans for both physical and logical interfaces.
  • Manage projects through certification processes for cryptographic devices and tactical systems.
  • Support hardware and software security assessments for embedded and cyber-physical systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and timely delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 5-10 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Background in cybersecurity, engineering, or cryptographic key management.
  • Current U.S. Government Security Clearance (Active TS/SCI preferred).
  • Experience supporting government certification and Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience performing security assessments for embedded systems.
  • Knowledge of cryptographic algorithms and protocols (e.g., SHA-2, AES-256).
  • Familiarity with CNSA 2.0 cryptographic standards.
  • Experience with U.S. Air Force platforms.
