Mental Health Therapist 2 - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist 2 to join our team in a remote capacity. In this role, you will provide essential counseling services to students in grades TK-12, ensuring their mental well-being and academic success. As a Mental Health Therapist 2, you will play a crucial role in fostering a safe and supportive learning environment.

What You'll Do

• Provide individual and group counseling services to students, addressing their mental health needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create a positive school culture.
• Conduct screenings and assessments to identify students' mental health challenges.
• Develop and implement therapeutic interventions and goals for students.
• Supervise counseling trainees and interns, guiding their professional development.
• Participate in IEP meetings and assist in the development of IEP goals related to mental health.
• Provide crisis counseling and referrals as necessary, ensuring students receive appropriate support.
• Maintain accurate case files and documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree in counseling, social work, or related field preferred.
• Clinical Licensure through the BBS is required.
• Experience working with students in grades TK-12.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize urgent needs effectively.
• Knowledge of various therapeutic models, including CBT and Play Therapy.
• Commitment to fostering a culture of belonging and well-being within the school community.

Nice to Have

• PPS credential or eligibility for PPS credential.
• Bilingual in Spanish.
