About the Role
Join Spring Health as a Mental Health Leave and Accommodations Clinician in a fully remote capacity. Our mission is to eliminate every barrier to mental health, and we are looking for a dedicated clinician to help us achieve this goal. In this role, you will evaluate mental health-related leave and accommodation requests, providing clinically sound recommendations tailored to individual needs.
What You'll Do
- Conduct objective mental health evaluations to assess symptomatology and functional impairment, determining the appropriateness of leave and workplace accommodations.
- Document concise, professional evaluation summaries that articulate clinical rationale, functional findings, and recommendations.
- Coordinate with employer representatives and third-party disability administrators to support accurate and timely determinations.
- Offer ethical treatment plan recommendations aligned with the member’s clinical needs and workplace considerations.
- Identify trends related to leave and accommodation requests and provide feedback to improve evaluation quality and member experience.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation while upholding privacy and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary remote team to support evaluations and deliver a seamless experience for members.
Requirements
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
- Licensed psychologist in good standing with an unrestricted license to practice independently.
- Active APIT (PsyPact) credential.
- Clinical experience conducting mental health assessments.
- Strong telehealth competency and comfort with technology.
- Excellent written communication skills for clear and objective documentation.
- High ethical standards and commitment to member-centered care.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a remote team.
Nice to Have
- Experience in disability, leave of absence, workplace accommodations, or occupational mental health.
- Licensure in New York and/or California.
