About the Role

NextCare is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our team in a remote capacity. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients while working in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do

  • Assist providers with patient exams, including taking vitals and preparing patients for procedures.
  • Administer medications according to policy and provider direction, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Perform blood draws and urine collections for testing, including employer drug screens.
  • Conduct physicals, including sports physicals, and assist with various urgent care procedures.
  • Notify providers of any unusual occurrences or safety concerns promptly.
  • Maintain proficiency in EMR/EHR systems to ensure accurate patient documentation.
  • Support front office operations by managing patient flow and processing discharges efficiently.
  • Provide excellent customer service, treating all patients with respect and dignity.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program is required.
  • National certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or CCMA) is preferred.
  • Experience in a medical assistant role is a plus, with at least one year of supervised experience.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced setting.
