Mechatronics Technician for Refrigeration Systems - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechatronics Technician for Refrigeration Systems to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of climate and refrigeration systems, ensuring optimal performance and energy efficiency. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a dedicated team at Universitätsklinikum Münster, contributing to the health sector by maintaining essential systems.

What You'll Do

• Operate, monitor, and maintain climate and refrigeration systems, including regular maintenance and inspection tasks.
• Independently perform repairs and replace defective components in refrigeration and climate systems.
• Conduct systematic troubleshooting and fault resolution on mechanical, electrical, and control components.
• Analyze system conditions and derive appropriate measures to ensure uninterrupted operation.
• Optimize existing systems for energy efficiency, operational safety, and availability.
• Document maintenance, testing, and repair work in accordance with internal guidelines and legal requirements.
• Renew and renovate climate and refrigeration systems (e.g., split and VRV systems, chillers, etc.).

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as a Mechatronics Technician for Refrigeration Systems or Refrigeration Installer.
• Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and operation of refrigeration and climate systems.
• Experience in fault diagnosis and reading circuit and control diagrams.
• Independent, structured, and responsible working style.
• High level of reliability and quality awareness.
• Team player with service and solution-oriented thinking.
• Willingness for continuous education and participation in 24-hour on-call services.

Nice to Have

• Experience with energy-efficient systems and technologies.
• Certifications in HVAC or related fields.
• Familiarity with modern building management systems.
