Mechanical Fitter - Remote Position at Syrah Resources

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter - Remote to join our team at Syrah Resources. As a leading company in the mineral processing industry, we specialize in the production and supply of natural graphite. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while ensuring the reliability and availability of our processing operations.

What You'll Do

• Execute maintenance work for the Balama processing operation.
• Specialize in steel fabrication and chute repair work.
• Respond promptly to breakdown events to minimize downtime.
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and ensure all work history is documented accurately.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor to meet KPIs and operational goals.
• Provide technical advice and support to the Senior Team to enhance operational efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of quality in all work performed.
• Ensure welding equipment is safely operable and clean at all times.

Requirements

• Mechanical/Fabrication Trade Qualification is essential.
• Minimum of 2 years of maintenance experience in mineral processing or heavy industry.
• Experience in flotation, milling, or filtration processes is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
