Materials Specialist - Remote Support for JetBlue
About the Role
Join JetBlue as a Materials Specialist to support our Aircraft Maintenance Department. This remote Materials Specialist position is essential for maintaining our warehouse and ensuring that we have the necessary materials for our operations. You will play a crucial role in managing inventory and ensuring that our aircraft are always ready for takeoff.
What You'll Do
- Perform data entry into the computer inventory system, including locating, issuing, receiving, and shipping materials.
- Load aircraft tires, brakes, and related aircraft parts and materials.
- Conduct inventory audits, inspections, and reconciliations of materials based on direction from leadership.
- Monitor and update stock items, including minimum and maximum stock levels, coordinating adjustments with Aircraft Maintenance and Purchasing.
- Assist with other duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One (1) year of experience in data entry or inventory management.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other vehicles.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Nice to Have
- One (1) year of warehouse experience.
- Familiarity with aviation logistics and safety regulations.
