About the Role

We are seeking a Manager - Warehouse Automation (Remote) to join our team at Cencora, a leading global pharmaceutical solutions organization. As a Manager in Warehouse Automation, you will play a critical role in enhancing our operational efficiency and ensuring the successful implementation of automation technologies. What You'll Do

• Lead and assist project teams in the design, implementation, and testing of warehouse automation systems.
• Manage the evaluation and support of cost-saving initiatives related to Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
• Serve as a subject matter expert on MHE systems and equipment deployed within our facilities.
• Coordinate workflow improvements and cost reductions through new or enhanced systems.
• Prepare user requirements and documentation for all division systems.
• Collaborate with corporate and division management to sustain best practice initiatives.
• Assist with business intelligence projects and visualization initiatives.
• Work evenings and weekends as necessary to support division processing.

Requirements

• A strong understanding of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) solutions is essential.
• A minimum of six years of progressively responsible experience in warehouse automation or related fields.
• Knowledge of Siemens and/or Allen Bradley PLC software and hardware is required.
• Experience with Controls Network protocols such as ProfiBus, ProfiNet, and Ethernet is a must.
• Strong electrical background and ability to read electrical schematics.
• Experience with Warehouse Control Systems and Automation Systems is required.
• Project Management experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are necessary.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SCADA systems or visualization software like Ignition.
• Familiarity with HMI tools such as FactoryTalk View or WinCC.
• Knowledge of ASi networks and associated hardware.
